In this session, Jake Burns, Enterprise Strategist at AWS, will share what he’s learned in the past 3 years advising executives from over 500 of AWS’s largest customers, in addition to his first-hand experience planning, leading, and executing a successful all-in migration to AWS in his former role. A common element in every digital transformation is buying and customizing software to create compelling user experiences that improve business processes. But figuring out how multimillion-dollar software investments are driving advancements across the enterprise is difficult when CIOs lack visibility and insights into digital assets. Additionally, the risk of creating a poor user experience is high when there are no UI standards and the cross-application nature of the users’ work isn’t considered.

Join this boardroom with your CIO peers to discuss:

  • How to drive user adoption and better digital transformation outcomes
  • How to gain deeper visibility and insights into your tech stack
  • How to take action on those insights through greater efficiency and agility

10:30am - 11:00am  Networking Break

For many organizations, the rapid shift to remote work accelerated their adoption of zero trust for employee access to corporate applications. But zero trust is most effective when approached as a holistic strategy applied not only to users, but across the entire organization, including public cloud workloads.

Join your peers for a session focused on:

  • Incorporating zero trust into your cloud transformation strategy
  • Developing new skills and embracing a new cultural mindset at all levels of the enterprise
  • Defining the right tools to empower your adoption of Zero Trust

Customers are demanding more convenient digital experiences, but security threats are growing and a complex, ever-changing web of regulations extends across the globe. How can businesses digitally transform with the cloud – ensuring they have a secure environment where customers’ data is not compromised –while dealing with application sprawl and siloed data? The answer is clear - a secure and open hybrid cloud architecture, but the path to getting there is murky.

In this discussion, we will explore:

  • Strategies to unify existing cloud and on-premise environments and create a bridge to tomorrow’s infrastructure
  • The untapped value across complex hybrid infrastructure
  • How to take control of decentralization and manage, maintain and optimize enterprise systems

Join this conversation to:

  • Explore the most business-critical trends in customer experience

With people working remotely and most user traffic destined for SaaS and cloud, network security requires transformation. It’s no longer efficient or cost-effective to route traffic through the corporate network to apply security controls. In this session, we will discuss:

  • Best practices for implementing Zero Trust within a SASE architecture

Chief Technology and Innovation Officer

NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory, California Institute of Technology

NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory missions have always been fully supported by the Information and Technology Solutions Directorate (ITSD) from start to finish. That said, in the face of a global public health crisis and the astronomical goal of reaching Mars, ITSD demonstrated critical mission-saving innovation and adaptability when we implemented new technologies so that projects and missions remained uninterrupted and on schedule.

In this keynote address, Randi Levin and Chris Mattman will discuss:

  • The landing of Perseverance, a highly sophisticated rover that launched to Mars while 90% of NASA JPL employees were working remotely, along with Ingenuity, a helicopter that tagged along and will attempt powered, controlled flight on another planet for the very first time.
  • Protospace, a collaborative tool that saves time and money while reducing risk by making it easier for engineers to resolve problems using augmented reality.
  • Our repository of custom applications that foster collaboration while streamlining new cybersecurity protocols, for the protection of NASA JPL’s data in a post-COVID environment.
