Anthony Canitano

Anthony is originally from Cleveland, Ohio, and moved to Atlanta in 2002. He graduated from Miami University with a Bachelor’s in Marketing and Accounting and started his career in consulting and advertising. He acquired his MBA from Emory University with a concentration in Marketing and Strategy.  

Prior to joining Comcast, Anthony worked at Delta Air Lines for 16 years, leading various analytical teams within Data Science, Customer Experience and Revenue Management. Most recently, he led a Marketing Data Science team at The Home Depot.

Give us a brief overview of the path that led to your current role.

I had the opportunity to build, develop and lead a world-class analytics and data science organization with significant influence on the strategic direction of the business.
 

What is one of your guiding leadership principles?

Transparency.
 

With disruption being a key theme of the past few years, where do you see your role as a CDAO going in the next 1-2 years?

Leading the organization into "BA-new" and continuing to deliver results to the business, with an ever-increasing focus on providing flexibility to the team through empathetic, servant leadership.
 

What advice would you give to someone just starting out in the role as a CDAO?

Listen to your teams — they know more than you do.
 

Tell us 3 fun facts about yourself.

  1. Played 198 holes of golf in one day for charity.
  2. I’ve visited 37 states and 20 countries.
  3. I made a 63-yard hole-in-one with a putter.
