Give us a brief overview of the path that led to your current role.

Having worked both inside and outside of human resources and having had responsibility for coordinating the sustainability agenda, this role at SIG within construction materials was a natural choice.

What is one of your guiding leadership principles?

Authentic leadership is key!

With disruption being a key theme of recent years, where do you see the CHRO role going in the next 1-2 years?

Leading different generations in the business will add extra pressure on talent attraction and retention - ensuring our EVP is appealing to reach and keep great talent will be key.  There is an increasing requirement to deal with incoming AI developments, and volatile economies (post covid/brexit and war) and the impacts on business and wellbeing will progress.

What advice would you give to someone just starting out as a CHRO?

It's a fabulous opportunity to influence the most senior agenda of the business, but it can also be very different from very senior operational HR roles. It can be a lonely place, but stick with it and find your (different) groove.

Tell us 3 fun facts about yourself.

Not really fun - I just love to walk, cook, eat and drink - repeat, repeat!!

What is the value of joining an Evanta community?
