With over 25 years of experience in the field of information technology, Andrea Ciccolini has worked across various industries including automotive, pharmaceuticals, and home appliances. Currently he holds the position of Global Chief Information Officer at Amplifon, the largest hearing aid retailer in the world, based in Minneapolis.

Give us a brief overview of the path that led to your current role.
My career began at Iveco SpA in Italy, and in 2005, I relocated to the United States where I have spent the majority of my professional life. I have worked for Federal-Mogul Corp. (now Tenneco) and Hospira Inc (now Pfizer) in the role of Vice President of Information Technology, Quality, and Manufacturing. In 2016, I joined Whirlpool Corporation as the CIO for all the regions where the company operated, before taking on my current role at Amplifon.
What is one of your guiding leadership principles?
Work hard, results will come.
With disruption being a key theme of recent years, where do you see the CIO role going in the next 1-2 years?
I see it going beyond IT, leading the value realisation of technology adoption in the business.
What advice would you give to someone just starting out as a CIO?
Embrace change and ambiguity.

I play tennis and electric guitar both requiring significant improvements. We're a family of four plus 2 cats and a dog.
