Give us a brief overview of the path that led to your current role.
I spent my career growing in the technology ranks (including a number of years as an Infrastructure Architect) before switching to management roles. I was always focused on IT operations, and the opportunity presented itself to work with a global team for an affiliate of one of the biggest banks in the world. I was excited to take this opportunity and join MUFG Investor Services.
What is one of your guiding leadership principles?
It is okay to make a mistake. It is not okay to repeat a mistake.
With disruption being a key theme of the past year, where do you see your role as a CIO going in the next 1-2 years?
CIOs must manage expectations (up and down) in the remote, hybrid working environment
What advice would you give to someone just starting out in the role as a CIO?
Get as much support as you can, especially from the business side.

- I’m a dog lover. (Raising two Boston Terriers)
- I play doubles squash, and I’m also a doubles squash national referee.
- I have a 40cm long beard.
