MAY 4, 2023

Evanta’s first-half Executive Summits are right around the corner and in May and June, we will be hosting European Summits in London and Stockholm for our UK&I and Nordic CISO communities. These gatherings are just two of the twenty-one CISO programs happening across the globe this spring.

When we asked our Governing Body members what is most important to them when attending an Evanta Summit they shared that validating their perspectives, discussing with peers, speakers and vendors, and creating the opportunity to learn ranked most highly. Our Executive Summits offer a perfect mix of the above with the likes of case study presentations, Executive Boardroom discussions, one-to-one peer networking and a private dinner hosted by the Governing Body the evening before.

Each year we survey our C-level communities to understand their top enterprise priorities and business objectives. These insights become the foundation of every gathering and help us build relevant agendas. In Europe, our CISO communities ranked their five top priorities as:

  1. Cloud Security/Strategy/Architecture, etc.
  2. Measuring & Communicating Risk
  3. Incident Response/Ransomware
  4. Third-Party Risk Management
  5. User Access/IAM/Zero Trust

Below, we’ve highlighted some of the sessions our communities are most excited about at the upcoming Summits in London & Stockholm that cover their top-rated priorities.

  1. Flipping the Asymmetry with Attackers: an Interactive Wargame at the Nordic CIO & CISO Executive Summit

Bringing out-of-the-box thinking, Sharon Isaaci, Cyber Security Services, EMEA and Yotam Meitar, Incidence Response Manager at Sygnia will run an interactive session that mimics the wargame format. Using real-life past scenarios, the simulation will take you through the first few hours of a highly disruptive incident. How will your decisions help shape the future of the victim organisation?

  1. Reflecting on Cyber Security Transformation at the UK&I CISO Executive Summit

Kevin Jones, a world-renowned CISO, will share his perspective on the ever-evolving expectations of the CISO role. Having led a major cybersecurity transformation he will also address how to overcome culture, budget and stakeholder buy-in challenges and other vital lessons a successful CISO needs to know.

  1. Novo Nordisk’s Journey Towards Zero Trust at the Nordic CIO & CISO Executive Summit

Lars Falch, CISO/CVP, Global Information Security at Novo Nordisk will address how the pharmaceutical giant has embraced a Zero-Trust mindset, benefits and lessons along the way and how it fits into the organisation’s wider security landscape.

  1. Carrot or the Stick – Sharing Different Consequence Management Frameworks at the UK&I CISO Executive Summit

Join this discussion, moderated by Yolande Young, CISO at bp, Tammy Archer, CISO, Inschape, Neil Bennett, CISO at UK Home Officer and Karen White, CISO, Direct Line Group as they debate approaches to consequence management. Such frameworks are a key component of security awareness, yet how should CISOs manage the consequences when employees fail to adhere to policies despite completing sufficient training?

This is merely a snapshot of the speakers and topics Evanta’s world-class agendas have to offer this spring. To find out more, join your local community and register for an upcoming program. See you there!
