Give us a brief overview of the path that led to your current role.

I started as an IT engineer, but with a passion for everything that is security related. I quickly rolled into supporting CISO roles. Becoming a CISO myself was the ultimate goal.

What is one of your guiding leadership principles?

As a CISO, knowing the technical IT stuff is really not that important. Being a facilitator, leader and inspiring model with the ability to listen and find solutions in sometimes complex environments is key to success.

What is the greatest challenge CISOs face today, and how are you addressing it?

Finding the right people for the job.

What is the key to success for someone just starting out as a CISO?

Building an internal, respected network with the key stakeholders.

How do you measure success as a leader?

Having a voice at the table.
