Give us a brief overview of the path that led to your current role.
My career timeline is as follows: desktop support, InfoSec, consultant, architecture, Head of, and finally CISO across a few companies.
In my current role, my primary focus is Incident Response, Transformation, Mental Health (& building high performing teams), and now learning the supplier side of the equation.
What is one of your guiding leadership principles?
Honesty and helpfulness.
With disruption being a key theme of recent years, where do you see the CISO role going in the next 1-2 years?
Upwards with more influence.
What advice would you give to someone just starting out as a CISO?
You are allowed to be wrong - don't assume, ask questions.
