With disruption being a key theme of recent years, where do you see the CISO role going in the next 1-2 years?
The fulfilment of the EU regulations in the area of Cybersecurity will take a lot of my time in the next 2 years - making sure that our business and the business of our customers ist compliant.
What advice would you give to someone just starting out as a CISO?
Build a network with CISO peers to manage the challenges in cybersecurity in the best way. Learn from each other. Get involved in the business of your company and understand the risks and opportunities. Align to standards as often as you can, and try to reduce complexity as much as you can.
Tell us a few fun facts about yourself.
I am a solar energy and electric car nerd. I like alpine skiing and the mountain nature - there are not many people who like to follow me in those areas, I don't know why :)
