OCTOBER 22, 2024

At Evanta, a Gartner Company, Executive Summits for our CHRO communities are on the horizon. Our fall season officially kicks off in October, and we will be hosting summits for our Chicago, New York, Washington, D.C., Houston, Southern California, Philadelphia and Toronto communities. CHROs are eager to collaborate this year given the dynamic nature of the workforce.

The way of work is changing with new technological capabilities, as well as the makeup of the employee base. For many organizations, the average age of the workforce has decreased as more baby boomers retire and more Gen Z workers emerge. Our Evanta gatherings offer a place for CHROs to discuss these challenges and share best practices for how to move forward.

I love all of the small table discussions and networking opportunities. Oftentimes at events like this it is all lecture style, but I appreciate hearing from my peers.”

As we work with CHROs to create valuable sessions for the agendas, this year, they tell us they’re focused on practical uses for generative AI, partnering across the C-suite and change management.

Here’s a preview of a few of the highly anticipated sessions this season:

  1. AI in HR — Separating Theory and Practicality at the Chicago CHRO Executive Summit

Conversations about generative AI are dominating the workplace as new capabilities are rolled out across the enterprise. In this session, CHROs will discuss the impact of generative AI on the organization as well as the HR function.

HR leaders from JLL, Kemper Corporation and Navistar, will share HR use cases for AI, how to communicate about AI effectively and best practices in working with IT peers on these new capabilities.

  1. Forging a High-Impact CHRO-CIO Alliance at the New York CHRO Executive Summit

For an organization to operate harmoniously across all divisions, the human resources strategy must align with the technology strategy. At STO Building Group, the CHRO and CIO are working in tandem to mature employee resources and data availability, culminating in a phased HRIS implementation.

This dynamic duo will share how they’re cultivating a mutually beneficial relationship, driving performance with HR tech and IT strategy and balancing competing priorities to roll out large-scale change.

  1. Time 2.0 — Applying Design Thinking to the Human Experience of Time at the Washington, D.C. CHRO Executive Summit

Time is valuable and for many of us, we pretend it’s linear. In this keynote session led by author, Olympic medalist, professor and Emmy award winner, John Coyle, attendees will learn to apply creative deconstruction to what we think we know about time.

The session will focus on understanding the forces that govern experiential time, discovering how to manipulate the perception of time and strategies for creating intense and memorable experiences that expand time.

  1. Driving Transformation During Times of Change at the Southern California CHRO Executive Summit

As an enterprise deploys wide-spread change, it’s critical for HR leaders to keep the pace. In this session, led by the CHRO of Keck Medicine at the University of Southern California, attendees will learn how to maximize resources and embark on an evolving transformation journey.

CHRO Ekta Vyas will explain how to build workforce processes into a robust HR infrastructure, optimize cultural transformation and stand-up programs to develop diverse leaders.

These sessions are just a few of those we’re working on. In addition to change management and leadership development, we also plan to dive into topics like organizational culture, succession planning and talent retention.
