Give us a brief overview of the path that led to your current role.
I have always had an interest in Irish agriculture and previously worked with Glanbia plc, which had origins as an Irish dairy co-op. I am excited by the opportunity to work for Origin, a company providing advice and products to the Agricultural space, but also a group focused on building a second business focused on non agricultural land use.
What is one of your guiding leadership principles?
Focus on a culture of no surprises.
What is the greatest challenge CFOs face today, and how are you addressing it?
Leveraging the advancements in technology, but ensuring the right level of investment and focus. We are trying to prioritise our focus areas to ensure maximum return on our time and investment.
What is the key to success for someone just starting out as a CFO?
Listening to your peers and team members.
