Give us a brief overview of the path that led to your current role.
I began my career over 24 years ago as an International Medical Attaché, working with embassies and translating for dignitaries around the world. My exposure to diverse cultures and diplomacy sparked a fascination with people and organizations. After being encouraged to move into HR because others saw strengths I hadn't fully recognized yet, I embraced the path and never looked back, building a career devoted to empowering people and leading with clarity and purpose.
What is one of your guiding leadership principles?
I lead with a people-first philosophy rooted in empathy, trust, and accountability. I believe that when people feel valued and supported, they deliver their best and elevate the entire organization.
What is the greatest challenge CHROs face today, and how are you addressing it?
The biggest challenge in my role right now is guiding the cultural integration that comes with the new merger, and a shift to a global business model. As we work toward a shared vision of high-performing global teams, culture remains our top priority. I’m addressing this through clear communication, strong leader engagement, and intentional efforts to keep employees informed, supported, and aligned.
What is the key to success for someone just starting out as a CHRO?
A key to success for anyone stepping into a role such as mine, is to stay focused and build relationships, because they are the foundation of influence, trust, and collaboration. Take time to listen, understand different perspectives, and create connections that go beyond titles and functions. Stay curious, stay grounded, and never lose sight of the people who make the organization thrive.
How do you measure success as a leader?
My measure of success is when trust runs deep, communication flows freely and openly, and every person feels seen, valued and empowered to do their best.
