CHRO
Amica

I have worked for Amica for my entire career, since graduating from University of South Florida. My initial HR focus role was in Total Rewards and HRIS, and I assumed the CHRO role in December 2025.
A few fun facts about me, I am married with two kids and a mini goldendoodle. I enjoy all sports, particularly golf.

Give us a brief overview of the path that led to your current role.
I initially started on the business side at Amica. I worked in our claims department in various capacities (Adjuster, Supervisor, Examiner). I was asked to move into a rotating HR role back in 2005. At the time, I thought it was to learn the people-side of the business and that I would move back into the business. The role became permanent after some changes, and I have led compensation and benefits since 2008. HRIS was added in recent years. Over 20 year of experience in HR has led to becoming the CHRO in December 2025.
What is one of your guiding leadership principles?
Accountability and ownership. I take responsibility for decisions and outcomes, both good and bad. I expect my leaders to do the same and empower them to make those key decisions and support them in their efforts.
What is the greatest challenge CHROs face today?
How to responsibly implement AI across the organization. I work closely with AI, IT leadership and legal, holding areas accountable for their AI spend and an expected ROI.
What is the key to success for someone just starting out as a CHRO?
Listening and perseverance. Understand from the team what is working and what is not working. Fix what isn't working and accentuate and expand on things that are working.
How do you measure success as a leader?
Engagement and happiness of my team.
What is the value of being a member of Gartner C-level Communities?
Networking with like minded peers. Sharing best practices with other CHROs and leveraging those relationships when needed.
Governing Body members share their insights and leadership perspectives to shape the agendas and topics that address the top priorities impacting business leaders today.
